Competition Rounds

Regional Round
With competitors participating from coast-to-coast, a defining characteristic of the Enterprize Canada Business Plan Competition has been the Regional Round of Competition. Forty teams from across the nation will all compete for an opportunity to advance to the National Round of Competition in early February.

  • Western (Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan)
    •     2010 Host: The University of British Columbia
  • Central (Manitoba, Ontario)
    •     2010 Host: University of Guelph
  • Quebec
  • Atlantic (New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island)
    •     2010 Host: Dalhousie University

Ten teams will be selected from each region to compete in their respective Regional Competitions. From that select group, the top 3 teams from each region will join a total of 12 teams to compete in the National Semi Final and Final rounds, held in Vancouver in February 2010.

National Round
The National Round will take place in Vancouver in early February 2010. Held jointly with the 2010 Enterprize Canada Entrepreneurship Conference, the National Round will feature 12 of Canada’s best teams, all advancing from their respective Regional Rounds. The teams, competing over two days, will face judging and feedback from some of the nation’s finest business professionals, industry experts, and entrepreneurs.
