Susanna Carson developed her background in sustainability during her post-secondary education at The University of Victoria, The University of Calgary and University of British Columbia where she specialized in biology, biodiversity studies and entomology. Susanna’s entrepreneurial mindset, her love of science and her appreciation for our environment helped form the inspiration behind her company, BSI Biodegradable Solutions in 2005. BSI designs & distributes compostable food packaging products and the company operates on a set of core values of sustainability, innovation and corporate social/environmental responsibility. In November, 2011 Susanna was awarded the RBC Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the year -TPH Sustainability award for BSI’s proven dedication to incorporate environmentally conscious initiatives. “We believe products should work for both your business and the environment” is a motto that BSI is proud to live by and is just the start of what the company does. As CEO Susanna is working hard to create a healthier consumer marketplace and to change the way we think of disposable products & packaging.
